These are some of the lower peaks near the gold mine.

Note the distinctive reddish hue of these mountains; it's a strong indicator of the presence of "Living Quartz". This type of Quartz is distinguished from "Dead" Quartz by often having veins of rare metals inside it, including --- of course --- Gold.


Thus, thee prospectors who established the mine here knew there was Gold in them-thar mountains just by their hue.
