Failed Tanks Ep. 30 Special: Ground-Breaking FAILS

Description

Every 10th episode of Failed Tanks covers a special subject rather than a specific tank, and this one is no exception.

This time, we'll have a look at 10 extremely important innovations in the ongoing development of the Tank, that were first applied to vehicles doomed to fail. Yes, that's right --- these tanks introduced new technology that changed the course of history, but even THAT wasn't enough to keep them from failing in one way or another!

These are the important features that the vehicles in question introduced into an armored vehicle for the first time;
1- The first tank designed from scratch
2- The first rotating turret
3- The first Light Tank
4- The first Christie Suspension
5- The first APC
6- The first Amphibious AFV
7- The first Composite Armor
8- The first Remote Weapon System
9- The first Autoloader
10- The first-ever proposal for a real tank

So why weren't all these cool props enough to keep the vehicles in question from failing? You'll just have to watch and see for yourself!

Again, great piece of information. The last point, though, made my day. Didn't knew the concept for a self-propelling armored vehicle was that old. It's really awesome someone had that vision, when one thinks about it. Saddly, it wasn't yet the right moment.
